_First identified by Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung, Archetypes are simply models of people, behaviours and personality. Jung dedicated a great deal of his professional and personal life to understanding human nature and in particular the 'Collective Unconscious'. It was within this collective unconscious, a deep part of our unconscious mind (the 'subconscious' as it's also referred to) that he believed a range of different archetypes existed
The collective unconscious is where, through connection with our individual archetypes, we can embody an inherited, universal set of standards and beliefs. When mapped back to the myth and stories that have existed since the beginning of time, such as the myth and stories of Gods and Goddesses from around the world, archetypes provide us with a powerful way to understand ourselves, how we function and grow, how we build and maintain relationships and best of all how can be our brilliant selves with ease simply by knowing our innate strengths and integrating all aspects of what makes us who we are
Archetypes provide us with an illuminating and enlightening way to know and express who we really are
Each Archetype has both a light and shadow expression. The light aspects are those things about ourselves that we are conscious to. Generally we know and love our light aspects and are happy to share them. The shadow aspects are those things about ourselves that we are generally unconscious to, or if we know about them we may be unconscious to their impact. They are not negative aspects of ourselves, as often believed. Instead they aspects of our personality that we may struggle with, or find challenging. By working with them in a supported way we are able to accept and integrate them to feel more whole and complete. It is not uncommon to find our greatest gifts hidden within our shadow
Never before has a model been published that focuses on the significance of leadership Archetypes for girls and women. Following years of experience working with archetypes and deep, in-depth observation of what it is that drives women and girls to take ownership and step up as the leaders of her lives, Shannon Bush offers a unique, fun, exciting opportunity for participants of all ages to know themselves in an empowering, innate way
With that knowing and the expert guidance offered to participants engaging in Lead-HER-ship Programs, there is expansive discovery of a framework for leveraging personal innate archetypal strengths. This enables participants to achieve personal goals and aspirations with great ease, increased confidence, clarity, vision, understanding and more. The more we know ourselves and our strengths, which are the things that we are naturally good at that also energise and uplift us, the more satisfaction we stand to experience across all areas of our lives, no matter our age or background. Inner knowing and the adoption of a personal leadership path enables a young woman to engage in life more fully and to empower herself throughout her lifes journey
This knowing becomes a unique personal gift that gives year in, year out, for the duration of her life

About The Lead-HER-ship Archeytpe Model
_The model is a framework for self understanding at its core. Based on
the premise that we all have a number of different Lead-HER-ship
Archetypes that reflect who we are and what we are capable of. We are
all unique and that is something to be celebrated
We each have a primary Lead-HER-ship Archetype which is our most recognisable. This Archetype is the one that we recognise most in ourselves. It’s the one we are most conscious to and the one that reflects our intellect, our thoughts, beliefs and emotions.
We also have two secondary Lead-HER-ship Archetypes, the ones that others usually recognise in us most freely. We can at times be very unconscious to the influences of these Archetypes, that is, until work with the model has been completed and the unknown becomes known. The importance of this knowing relates directly to self understanding and ultimately greater self acceptance. When we know
something about ourselves we are in a more empowered position to accept those things about ourselves that we may struggle with and to leverage those things about ourselves we love and see as our gifts
These three key Lead-HER-ship Archetypes are determined by completing the Lead-HER-ship Archetypes Profiling Tool which requires participants to complete a thorough questionnaire. Following collation of the results a Personal Lead-HER-ship Profile is created. Each profile report outlines the Primary and Secondary Lead-HER-ship Archetypes;

Following collation of the results a Personal Lead-HER-ship Profile is created. Each profile report outlines the Primary and Secondary Lead-HER-ship Archetypes;
- Key personal message, the unique expression of each Archetype summed up in a powerful statement
- Light and shadow aspects and what they mean
- Natural path to wholeness outlining the suggested journey to greater self understanding and acceptance
- Key opportunities for learning more about yourself and others and
- Creative style, so that you know how you best express yourself in the world
_Once the profile has been defined the next step is to
complete a 'mapping process'. This supported creative process, usually
conducted in a single session, provides further opportunity for in-depth
self discovery and understanding. A third layer of Lead-HER-ship
Archetypes, the Motivational Archetypes are selected by the participant at
this stage
Motivational Lead-HER-ship Archetypes represent the qualities, traits and things that we aspire to be, do and express. The most significant learning at this stage is that we each have the potential to fully achieve and integrate the features of these Motivational Archetypes because we already have them within us The mapping process leaves the participant with a visual representation of the information provided in their unique, individual profile report. An artistic interpretation of the 'archetypal map' can be seen at right Our Archetypes do not change over the course of our lifetime meaning that this map will continue to be a reference point for self understanding, self acceptance, empowerment, confidence building and for knowing how our personal lead-HER-ship style can support us on our journey through life. It starts with an individual and then extends to their peer group, family, school or professional group, community, country and beyond |
